In 1998,

nine-year-old

Jackson Blake

could hardly wait

for opening day

of Geyser Lake.

But he was grounded

and missed the date,

so that night

he jumped the gate.

But when the sun

rose awake,

neither park

nor parent

could find a trace.

Now every night

at Geyser Lake,

you can hear the splash

of the boy

who jumped the gate.*
